A 1787 villa with twenty-four rooms
Passalacqua feels less like a hotel than a family seat lent to you for the week. Twenty-four rooms are spread across the main villa, an eight-room palazzo and four suites by the water. The spa runs through eighteenth-century tunnels beneath the gardens, and the day's small rituals — gelato-making, flower-arranging — come without a bill.
Couples and connoisseurs who want privacy over scene. The terraced gardens mean steps everywhere, so we check routing carefully for anyone with limited mobility.
It is open from March to October and fills early. May, June and September are the months we prefer; for summer, plan six to nine months ahead.
