A castle begun in 1228
Ashford is a castle that behaves like a country estate. Mornings are for the Hawk Walk at its falconry school or a boat on Lough Corrib; evenings are for the George V dining room. It is where we end journeys through Ireland and Britain, because it is impossible to rush.
Two at least. The estate rewards slowing down, and a single night barely leaves time for the falconry and the lough.
Ashford is in the west of Ireland. We arrange a private driver from Dublin or Shannon, or plan it as the last stop of a longer journey.
