The mountain, and the herds below it
Amboseli is the most photographed view in East Africa for a reason: big-tusked elephants against Africa's highest mountain. We base guests on a private concession with views of both Kilimanjaro and Meru, and fly them in to save a long road day. Mornings are clearest — the mountain often hides in cloud by noon.
The summit is usually clearest in the early morning.
